1. My "first" Ether transaction and "first" learnings

Imagine from Customer and User Experience Perspective the Beginner Level

"It felt exciting, like using the internet for the first time back in school, but this time for money."

As CX/UX Researcher and Product UX/UI Designer the overall UX is clean, but the language is still technical I appreciated the control and transparency, but also I felt the weight of responsibility.

Small actions (like sending Ethereum ETH) can feel both ways:

powerful and irreversible
exciting and unfamiliar
but with time and practice it will flow with confidence

It made me think that Web3 needs better onboarding process for non-tech users, jargon free

Still, it was intuitive enough to make me want to explore more, as it is adventures into the New Brave World. What to remember for the next time: Blockchain isn’t just tech, it’s a shift in how we trust and interact. 4. Defining DLT

Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) is a digital system for recording transactions across multiple sites in a decentralized way, ensuring transparency, security, and resistance to alteration (immutability, permanence).
DLT allows for data to be shared and updated in real time, without needing a central authority.
DLT can be public or private and supports various types of decentralized networks.
Blockchain is a specific type of DLT that organizes data into blocks and links them in a chain.
It is most known for being the underlying technology of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Binance Coin (BNB), Cardano (ADA), Solana (SOL), Polkadot (DOT), Ripple (XRP), Dogecoin (DOGE), Chainlink (LINK).
Differences: Blockchain is a subset of DLT, with its unique structure of blocks and cryptographic linking.
DLT, however, includes other technologies that may not use block-based structures.

5. Defining Bitcoin

Bitcoin types (alternatives and forks): 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) - A fork of Bitcoin created to enable faster transactions by increasing the block size limit.
Bitcoin SV (BSV) - A fork of Bitcoin Cash that aims to restore Bitcoin's original protocol and increase scalability.
Bitcoin Gold (BTG) - A fork of Bitcoin designed to make mining more accessible by using a different hashing algorithm.
Litecoin (LTC) - Often referred to as "silver to Bitcoin's gold," Litecoin is based on Bitcoin's code but with faster transaction speeds and lower fees.
These variants offer different features or improvements over Bitcoin’s original protocol.

5. Defining Ethereum

Ethereum is a decentralized platform for building and deploying smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps).
Operates on a blockchain, similar to Bitcoin (BTC), but with programmable transactions.
Ether (ETH) is the native currency, used to power the network and pay transaction fees.
Known for its flexibility, supporting a wide range of applications beyond value transfers.
Popular for decentralized finance (DeFi) and other blockchain-based solutions.

Ethereum alternatives and forks:

Ethereum Classic (ETC) – A fork of Ethereum that resulted from a split after a hard decision following the DAO hack, maintaining the original Ethereum code.
Binance Smart Chain (BSC) – A blockchain developed by Binance, designed for fast and low-cost transactions, supporting Ethereum-compatible smart contracts.
Polygon (MATIC) – A Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum, designed to improve transaction speed and reduce costs while maintaining compatibility with the Ethereum network.
Avalanche (AVAX) – A blockchain platform focused on high-speed transactions and low fees, often seen as an alternative to Ethereum for DeFi projects.
These alternatives offer different features such as scalability, transaction speed, or lower fees compared to Ethereum’s original protocol.

Trustless: Users interact directly with the app using smart contracts, without needing to trust a third party.
Secure: Data is stored across multiple nodes, enhancing security and reducing the risk of hacking or data loss.
